Open Question: Item Return Question?

I Bought An MP3 Player At f.y.e....I Didn't Like It At All Plus The Touch Screen Buttons Weren't Working Properly.I Tried Returning It And They Said I Couldn't Because It Has Already Been Open And Therefore They Wont Be Able To Re-Sell It.(Which Is Stupid Because If Its Not Working Properly Why Would They Re-Sell It!)Anyways, So I Thought If I Exchanged It For A Different One And Since They Said I Couldn't Return It Because Its Been Open.Then The New One I Got(I Haven't Opened It)I Would Be Able To Return It And Get My Money Back?Has Anyone Tried That?
