Open Question: The benefits of a real estate license in arizona?

I am going to an appointment tomorrow to talk about getting my real estate license. I just wanted to know what people thought about getting it. It costs so much to even get with all the tests and what not. Is it worth it? Is it easy getting jobs? Is it a good bad idea since the economy is bad?
