Open Question: How does paypal allow you to use a credit card instead of taking money from your bank account?

i just noticed that i was wanting to buy with a credit card and that paypal wants to use my bank account, i need some help fast I want to buy a baseball bat from ebay and it says that paypal is the preferred payment method so i created an account, but i want to pay with my credit card
