Open Question: lots of hours/lots of gas? or less hours/less gas?

I currently drive about 45 minutes to work. I work about 25-35 hours a week, which boils down to a total of about 8-10 hours of driving each week since some of my shifts are only 4 hours shifts. I have the possibility of a new job about 2 miles from my house, with a maximum commute of 10 minutes (if the traffic/weather is bad). However, this job would only be about 15 hours each week. Both jobs pay about the same per hour. My question is: would it be wiser to keep my current job and continue spending so much on gas? or should I consider the new job where I would be spending a mere fraction of the amount I spend now on gas? (Also, if I took the new job, I would continue looking for a second part-time job here in town) Thanks!
