Open Question: Need advice on my logo? - (Photo Link)?

PLEASE READ I was thinking way in the futre after college I want to start a business, A hairdressers and a Cafe, And I want them registered under 'the baxter Group'. Now I intend to go big, widely known and so I thought about what logo/text I might like to use for 'The Baxter Group'. Ive come up with a simple one on paint and obviously I would take it to a designer to make sure I use text that isnt Times new roman. But below is the link to my logo and I want to know: 1) Is this okay for a business group?. 2)Do I have to get copyright for the 'B' and Text together. I want to use the whole thing on like menus and stuff.
