Open Question: Pregnant and about to start new government job?

They know that I am pregnant. It is an excellent job for the government Will Insurance cover me since it's preexisting? Will I get paid maternity time off? How long? Will I be allowed to go to dr.'s appointments in probationary period without it looking bad on me? It is a temporary position could be permanent based on performance
