Open Question: A Question for Landlords?

Why won't some landlords take section 8. I have been searching for apartments and I sometimes come across the ad that says sorry no section 8 or public assistance. Why don't some landlords take section 8? Classy Granny, I thought so too. I know the image one thinks of when they hear section 8. It's too bad because I am completely opposite that image. I am quiet and reserved, respectful, and nice. I don't party or drink etc... In other words refusal to accept these vouchers is a form of hidden discrimination.
