Open Question: someone recommended investing in Colombian Oil company Canacol, opinions?

hello, someone recently recommended me to invest in Canacol, a Colombian Oil corporation. i'm not really much of an investor, i know a little bit here and there but not nearly enough to make a wise decision, if i was to make one it would be more based on gambling than the research of it. i was first recommended this when i asked how i should invest 700GBPounds, and when i later asked if anyone had heard of it, the same person who first recommended it to me was the only one to answer. not discrediting their info, as i appreciate the help, however i would much appreciate a 2nd or 3rd opinion before dropping my money into a company i know little about. when asking if anyone had heard of it, or if it was a good idea, the person gave me a link to some information, http://www.aheadoftheherd.com/Newsletter/Colombian%20Oil.pdf i read this and it seemed like a good deal, however like i said i really don't know much. i'll appreciate any help i can get. (if the person who first recommended this to me, i'm not ignoring your advice, i would just like some other opinions on the matter :) cheers)
