Open Question: travel expenses for 2009 tax year or 2010 tax year?
For my business travel, I purchased my flight ticket and put a deposit for lodging for travel in Spain in December 2009. But I did not travel to Spain until January 2010. For travel expenses for flight tickets and deposit for lodging in December 2009, can be deducted for 2009 US tax year? Or wait until 2010 US tax year?
