Open Question: why was the s.e.r.ps pension not increased in this years pension increase when we had paid into it for years?

We were encouraged to pay into the S.e.r.p.s pension scheme during our working life and now we are being penalised.We cannot draw pension credit as our pension total takes us over the allowed amount
