Open Question: Buy a Car or get Furniture?

My car broke down, and I just moved in a new house, which needs some furniture (TV, sofa, dinning room.. etc) But I really need a car ( I have a baby, Husband needs to go to work) I have now $2000 cash now that I can use.. it was initially saved up for the furniture before my car broke down. Please help me to decide!! Thanks!!!
