Open Question: Job Resume Help Please...?

I don't know if I should put certain things on my resume. My first real job was at a yogurt place and I worked there for a month in the summer and she fired me because she thought I'd be too preoccupied with school and work. I want to put that on my resume but my mother says I shouldn't because if employers called she'd give a bad reference etc. I also worked very very briefly at a shoe store but they fired me too because they realized that they hired too many people then they could afford (start of the recession) and I also worked temporarily at a big event in the downtown area of my hometown. My mother says I should put the shoe store and event on there and not the yogurt shop but I can't even remember the supervisors names of the shoe place and the event but she says put it on anyway and i'm feeling really apprehensive. What do you think looks better?
