Open Question: Question about companies, rentals, etc.?

Are companies being taxed to much? Is the top people out to take as much as they can from the rich and not so rich? I was shocked to hear how much taxes my last landlord had to pay on her rental and businesses. She probably doesn't have alot of money to fix her apartments up. I doubt she is dirt poor. I just wonder if she would be better of just working a regular job since her husband in is the military.
