Open Question: What would you do with a windfall of $10,000?

You are just out of a difficult time, have no car, and live with your son in a one bedroom apartment. He works but barely has or pays bills yet. You have other plans such as travelling and buying a new wardrobe. Furnishing a new apartment if you get one is also to be considered. Many many projects are in your mind and you don't know where to start, and you are not young. Any advice is much appreciated. You are retired and about 40% of your pension goes toward some loan; there's also of course rent to pay.
