Open Question: Where is my Income Tax?

I sent my income tax in the middle of march and signed up for direct deposit. Here it is may 4th and i still have not received it. i tried to track it but i dont remember the dollar amount of my tax return because i left a copy with my parents in new hampshire (where i was living before i moved). does anyone have any comforting answers because i am starting to get worried that it will never come...
