Zambia CPI slows, 2011 GDP growth seen lower

photoLUSAKA (Reuters) - Zambia's consumer inflation slowed sharply in December on lower food prices while economic growth was seen down in 2011 compared with last year due to decreased output from mining in Africa's largest copper producer, the Central Statistics Office said on Thursday. Inflation was at 7.2 percent year-on-year in December from 8.1 percent in November and was expected to end the year at 7 percent, the CSO said.
