Stock futures signal higher Wall Street open

Stock prices on monitors are seen through a window to the street at the NASDAQ Market Site in New YorkLONDON (Reuters) - U.S. stock index futures pointed to a higher open on Wall Street on Thursday, with futures for the S&P 500, the Dow Jones and the Nasdaq 100 rising 0.2 to 0.3 percent. At 8:30 a.m. EDT, the Labor Department is due to release first-time claims for jobless benefits for the week ended April 25. Economists forecast a total of 375,000 new filings, compared with 386,000 in the prior week. Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago releases its Chicago Fed National Activity Index for March at 1230 GMT.
