I rescued a Chihuahua to keep my docile-but-increasingly-neurotic Maltese company. Before making such a huge commitment, I probably should have done some research on the compatibility of combining these two breeds; or of two females dogs; or, hell, of two dogs. Instead, we went for a walk and after a block or so without incident, I decided we were meant to be a family.
