Open Question: how long would I be away from home working on an offshore oil rig?

Entry level if that makes a difference. I cannot find anything on offshore oil rig workers schedule's. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places? I see the pay is great but I'd like to know if I would be away just as long as I would in the Navy. Any intel on this job would be appreciated.
